We promise to provide our guests with a diverse African experience before, during and after the 2010 soccer matches. Cape Vidal is renowned for its sport fishing and snorkelling. All snorkelling equipment available for hire. This scenic lodge is situated on the Northern shores of the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park which boasts a protected bay for swimming. There is an abundance of wildlife roaming freely through the park. The diverse bird life and self guided trails enable visitors to see some of the surrounding wetlands as well as the beautiful Lake Bhangazi. Cape Vidal falls within the St Lucia Marine Reserve which is classified as a World Heritage Site. Situated north-east of St Lucia this scenic bay provides a variety of log cabin accommodation set back within a lush dune forest. Cape Vidal bay has a designated launch site for ski boats. Within this sheltered bay one can experience excellent snorkelling while viewing the stunning marine life. Shore and fly fishing provide the amateur angler with an excellent opportunity of catching and releasing many of the bays resident fish species. The marine habitat is frequented by humpback whales on their northerly migration to Mozambique to calve. Our dolphins can often be seen frolicking in the break water just off shore. Game fish include Marlin, Whahoo, Dorado, King Mackerel and Tuna, all of which reside in the clear waters of Cape Vidal. An experience not to be missed!!!! |
