Cape Vidal Guest Information:

En-route to Cape Vidal you travel through the iSimangaliso (St. Lucia) Wetland Park on the Eastern Shores of Lake St. Lucia, which is abundant with game.

A favourite excursion among locals is to spend a day at Cape Vidal. Only a limited number of vehicles are allowed per day along the 32km of unspoiled beach with its tidal pool.

Cape Vidal beach is renowned for its sport fishing and is an excellent snorkeling spot.

View the world’s highest sand dunes and stroll through sand forests teaming with wildlife. You can expect to spot baboon, Samango monkeys, Warthog, Vervet Monkeys, Mongoose, Buffalo, Kudu and a variety of antelope.

Our Comfortable Log cabins are clean, fully serviced and tucked away in Sand Forrest Vegetation. You will be living among the animals of the Wetlands and Sand Forests.

Guided wilderness trails include visits to Bat Caves, lake Bhangazi, Mount Tabor and exploring the rock pools at Mission Rocks during low tide.

DIRECTIONS TO CAPE VIDAL NATURE RESERVE
Travelling on the N2 highway north of Durban and Empangeni, turn right at the Mtubatuba intersection into the R618 road to St. Lucia. From St. Lucia follow the road signs to Cape Vidal (around 30 km to the north).
